Mount Imperius is an introduction to a story-game that I created for IntroComp 2014, a competition for interactive fiction introductions. It is a story about a snowy mountain expedition. You play as an environmental photographer. The intro was finished July 20th, 2014.
Due to time mismanagement, I didn’t mess around with the default Twine set-up like I should have. Sadly, I don’t think I will be continuing this story any time soon. While I love survival stories, it’s not a genre I’m super comfortable in so I’d like to get some more practice first. So, I’m hoping to do it one day!
If I ever do continue it, though, I think I would rather remake it in Ren’py than continuing on with Twine. I’m more comfortable bringing gamey aspects to Ren’py than I am with Twine. I’d like it to be more of a wilderness survival game, set on the side of a snowy mountain. There’d be lots of character interaction and careful inventory management to ensure your survival. It’s a game I think I could be capable of making if I didn’t have so many projects on my plate already.
